Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and a Freebie

A new season is upon us and that means it's time for the Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Hooray! I just love seeing all the coffee/tea/cocoa inspired creations filling up the blogosphere during these hops. Everyone makes such wonderful creations and I always see a gazillion things I want to buy. Not to mention all the fabulous inspiration from all you talented stampers!

Verve is proud to be a hop Super Sponsor once again. We're providing one of the oh-so-many fabulous prizes up for grabs for those who link up a newly created spring themed coffee, tea or cocoa project over on the official Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop post.  The linkup is open through March 31, so I hope you have a fabulous week of getting inky!

To celebrate the hop and the changing of the season, I've designed this Rise and Shine free digital set for your enjoyment.  f you share your creations online please use @vervestamps on Instagram or Facebook so I can come have a look-see. And be sure to check out all of our coffee, tea and cocoa stamp offerings. It's a great time to adopt a new set, as all stamps and dies are 30% off through April 17.

For my project today, I used a sentiment and a mug from the Rise & Shine digi set.  I printed with a laser printer, then colored the mug with Copics.  I cut the sentiment using the Sweet Scallop Tag Die, and used a stitched circle die for the mug, then hand punched a little hole and tied them together with some twine. Next I pulled out a bit of leftover striped vellum to make a little pocket for a tea bag.  I thought the sentiment was perfect for a little encouragement card for a friend.

This Palais Des Thes Blue of London Earl Grey is my current favorite. I discovered it at a little French patisserie near us and have been a little bit obsessed since then. The brown strip on the side of the packaging didn't match the colors of my card, so I ran some washi down the side, and added a bit of the same washi to the bottom of the tag to tie it in.  The paper is a pad from the way, way back by BasicGrey.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy the hop!
Spread a little sunshine using the Rise and Shine digi set, then come back here to this post and link up your creation for a chance to win a $40 gift voucher to the Verve shop. I'll draw a random winner on April 18, 2017. I can't wait to see what you create!

Lucky Day Winner

Hi Verve fans!  It's Julee, here, popping in with the winner from our Lucky Day challenge. I just loved seeing the world fill up with green!  As I read all your posts, I was reminded that many years ago, before I started Verve, a friend of mine asked me to guest design on her blog and I was tasked with creating a St. Patrick's Day card. I was completely stumped, as I had NO St. Patrick's Day supplies at all. I eventually ordered the adorable Pot O' Sprinkle from The Cat's Pajamas and made my own sentiment with snap stamps that said 'feline lucky'.  LOL  I believe that experience has fostered a love for St. Patrick's Day and I'm always searching for Irish themed papers and embellishments.  If you want to take a look at that card from long ago here's the original post.

Anyhow, I'm here to announce the winner.  If you haven't had a chance to download the Lucky Day digi yet, I've extended the download deadline to March 20. My boys are having a bowling party to celebrate their 5th birthday, and I want to spend time with them instead of working on the website! Sometimes it pays to be the boss.  :)

Wins: $40 gift voucher to the Verve shop

 Congrats, Donna!

Time Out Challenge #79  CASE this card by Jenny
I've been under the weather with a pretty miserable sinus infection the past couple weeks and got mixed up and posted my take on the challenge over on my blog, Poetic Artistry.  So head on over there to read a bit more about the process that resulted in this sunny little CASE of Jenny's card. Then grab your stamps and make something to link up for this fun challenge!  I can't wait to see what you create.
